The Republic of Kiribati (pronounced, Kiribass, as -ti is an s sound in the local language) is an island nation in the mid Pacific that is predicted to be the first country to be obliterated by sea level rise. The islands and its 120,000 inhabitants are already experiencing significant high tide events. This film is a documentary of the Kiribati people and their struggle to find a way forward from the upcoming disaster.
